Here in Rebellious Brides, we are anti-conformists (obviously). Therefore it is a conscious effort NOT to feature mainly just celebrities and popular personalities to glorify them. We only feature a select few. And when we do feature these famous celebs, it's because they've rebelled one way or another. And that's why Toni & Paul are featured today. So what makes them "rebellious?"
One word. METROPHOTO.
It's been a common curiosity in wedding circles why Metrophoto doesn't get as much celebrity weddings (as it logically should). After all, they are in the top 3 best wedding photographer teams in town and also one of, if not the most premium in terms of how it has positioned itself. The fact that Toni and Paul chose a team based on merits and capability make them an interesting couple. But then, was the decision really surprising considering how talented and creative both of them are?
In this engagement session set against the National Museum, the beautiful couple are celebrated like art on their own--like they deserve to be in the ranks of the most spectacular creations made by Filipino artists. The result? A set that absolutely looks like Vanity Fair. They became muses, walking artworks, the most vivid and dramatic of all.
We are in AWE. Toni has never looked this drop dead gorgeous (and that's saying something since she regularly looks amazing). And Direk Paul was captured in his perfect self as known in the production industry---the director who always strives for perfection....and the most handsome director in town haha.
This engagement session doesn't romanticize the couple's celebrity status. Instead, it immortalizes their love not just for posterity but to celebrate it like art all on its own--Toni & Paul's own masterpiece, captured in the best possible way. No frou fou, no "we are cool kids" executions, just art. Self explanatory art.

It would have been so expected for me to make this post extra special. After all, it is the pre wedding photos of Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano – no one I personally know is more well-known. It would have also been so easy to glorify the shoot and say how extra ordinary their love is. But you know, there is no point exalting what is straightforward, no use to colour the undisguised, just present them as how they are and lay it on the line. Having witnessed and shot hundreds of love stories, I see that theirs is no different – unpretentious and real. Each of us may be engulfed with who we are and what we do with our lives but at the bottom of it all, we love for all the same reasons. I greatly admire Toni and Paul’s conscious effort to not make their wedding such a circus, that they realise what is truly important despite who they are and where they are now. This allows people to see beyond everything and just how amazing they are together. So before Toni and Paul lay everything on the line on their up-coming wedding, allow us to show you a glimpse of a love that is as real as Toni and Paul’s. Enjoy.
