Mitzi Q is a fashion game changer. She rebelled from tradition and rose among the ranks, right smack in between the gaudy off-the-rack bridal dresses and the pricey made-to-orders.
Meet Mitzi Quilendrino-Bustos, owner of Mitzi Q. Bridal Pret-a-Porter. Her business exists to empower rebellious brides, to give them an option. She creates couture-grade customizable designer bridal gowns at half the made-to-order prices.

“More brides-to-be spend for their wedding together with their fiances. It’s my advocacy to reach out to them by making designer couture gowns at ready-to-wear prices, so they get more value for their well-earned money, and can allocate their savings to other anticipated costs, like maybe their honeymoon. Who would want to pay double for the same quality couture gown? There are existing local RTW bridals now, but these are either “the cheapest alternative” and live up to dire expectations of them, or generic knock-offs. The imported brands usually cost the same as a locally-made bespoke gown. What I offer brides now are real options of original designer gowns they can very well brag about to everyone. Also, I am helping ease off any undue stress on would-be brides by eliminating worries on how the gown will turn out as compared to any designer’s initial sketch/es. Some clients just have no capacity for imagination so I choose not to leave anything to it. They can fit the gowns instead and make better-informed decisions. Nothing beats fitting the actual gowns and having to choose from them. It’s my way of empowering the brides-to- be,” explains Mitzi. Quite a brave endeavor considering that this country is grounded on tradition and pamahiins of not trying on your gown before your big day!

Rebellious Bride = shares the same mindset as the fashion icons who dress for themselves, without care nor thought for others' opinions. Rarely do they disappoint because they instinctively go with what works for them and people can only marvel at their originality of vantage point and at how only they can pull it off.
